EventsListed below is a list of events I have attended as well as plan to attend. Some of the links to the THSCC web site are broken. They recently redesigned their site and they haven't finished putting up the archived results for 2002 and 2001. Once they do that I will fix the links.
2003THSCC 6/14/2003 - 6/15/2003Did not attend event. THSCC 5/18/2003Class Results 3rd place in STS. PAX Results 8th out of 96 (top 8%). It poured down the rain. While I had a rain suit, I didn't have rubber boots. My shoes were soaked by the time I had walked the course once. Due to the rain the course was being tweaked late so it was difficult to walk the course properly. The course had three really tight turns that ended up causing me to not be able to apply much power in them otherwise I would have been in "one wheel drive" mode. I am still having issues with putting in a fast run at first and then improving. I am still ending up with significant time differences between first and last run. Regardless, I continue to do very well on rainy course. I think this is because rain tends to be the great equalizer with respects to HP. Since I am very low on Power and Torque, this works in my favor. Very few made it into the 60 second range. I was very close to making it into the 59 second range. STS still proves to be a very tough class. I was third in STS, but if I had run DSP, I would have won by over 2 seconds. I (as well as those above me in STS) also PAXed very well. I have video of all four runs in the Gallery. THSCC 4/27/2003Class Results 4nd place in STS. PAX Results 17th out of 150 (top 11%). This was a fun event. The course was fast and easy to remember. It was my first event of the year with the new Falken Azenis tires. They have great grip levels, but I still don't know were the limit is yet with them. I ended up running much of the course flat. So for fast courses like this I am starting to be limited by the power of my care. I have video of all four runs in the Gallery. THSCC 3/23/2003Did not attend event.
2002THSCC 11/10/2002Class Results 2nd place in STS. PAX Results 27th out of 133 (top 20%). Last event of year. Was in contention for 1st in STS, but didn't quit happen. Did manage to secure 2nd overall in STS for the year. I have video of all four runs in the Gallery. THSCC 10/6/2002Class Results 2nd place in STS. PAX Results 13th out of 101 (top 13%). This was another great event for me at the Laurinburg site. The course was very open and fast. While that would normally help the higher HP cars, I felt that I held my own. I have video of all four runs in the Gallery. THSCC 9/22/2002Did not attend event. Non-points event.
THSCC 9/12/2002ESA Night Series #1 (Non-points event) Class Results 1st place in STS. PAX Results 3rd out of 37 (top 8%). This was the first event for a new THSCC Autocross series. All four events are run at the Raleigh ESA and are non-points events. It is an invitation only event and are run in the evenings. We ended up with seven runs total. Three at dusk and four at night. It was a great event for me. I had not made any changes to the car and the course we much like the 8/4/2002 event. But this time my overall performance was much better. I have video of all seven runs in the Gallery.
THSCC 8/4/2002Class Results 6th place in STS. PAX Results 48th out of 149 (top 32%). This was not a very good event for me. I was not able to get the flow of the course until my last run and on that run I was not aggressive enough. I have video of all four runs in the Gallery.
THSCC 7/21/2002Class Results 4th place in STS (Trophy Position). PAX Results 25th out of 110 (top 22%). This was a fun event. The class was particularly competitive that day. My Dad was able to co-drive that event as well. I have some video of all eight runs (four for me and four for my Dad) in the Gallery. THSCC 6/16/2002Class Results 7th place in STS. PAX Results 47th out of 135 (top 34%). This was a two day event. I was only able to attend one of the days. So I only was able to make five runs instead of ten. Still I felt I did pretty well.
THSCC 5/18/2002Class Results 2nd place in STS (Trophy Position). PAX Results 12th out of 114 (top 10%). This was a great event for me. It rained the entire time. My Kumho 712 tires are known to be excellent rain tires and they really worked well at this event.
THSCC 4/7/2002Did not attend event.
THSCC 3/17/2002Class Results 3rd in STS. PAX Results 37th out of 99 (top 37%). THSCC 3/2/2002Test and tune. No times published.
2001THSCC 10/12/2001Results 5th place in STS. THSCC 9/23/2001Results 5th place in STS. TSCC 7/8/2001Results 4th place in STS This was my first event with the new Honda and my first Triad event.
