1972 Porsche 914Disassembly - Part 13 - Front Suspension10/15/2006Continuing to move from rear to the front. So I am ready to pull off the front suspension. If you are pulling it off as a unit, you need to remove the brake master cylinder, disconnect the steering column, remove the brake lines to the calipers and then just unbolt it all. It then drops straight out. You have to wiggle a bit to get the steering column to slide out.
